DOH Bicol records 81st case of COVID-19

The Department of Health Center for Health Development - Bicol reports that of the 136 test results received today, one (1) is positive for COVID-19. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 recorded in Bicol Region is now eighty-one (81). Current confirmed cases are eight (8).

The 81st confirmed case of COVID-19 is a 42-year old Filipino female from Bacacay, Albay. She had a history of exposure to patient with local code Bicol#77. She is asymptomatic and is currently quarantined. Bicol#81 is a nurse and the 27th health worker to test positive for COVID-19.

On test results received
A total of one hundred thirty-six (136) test results were received today. One hundred twenty-three (123) are from Bicol Regional Diagnostic and Reference Laboratory (BRDRL) while thirteen (13) are from Bicol Medical Center (BMC). The one (1) positive result is from BRDRL.

Breakdown of 135 negative results:
Albay - 47, BRTTH - 39, BMC - 12, CHO Naga - 1, and CHO Legazpi - 36.

Appeal to Public
The public is strongly advised to strictly follow community quarantine procedures as well as precautionary measures including proper hand washing, social distancing, cough etiquette, disinfection of commonly used objects, use of facemask, healthy lifestyle and to stay at home. Everyone’s cooperation is crucial in this time of crisis.
