Kaalaman tungkol sa COVID-19 Testing

Sa kasalukuyan, ang REAL TIME-POLYMERASE CHAIN REACTION (RT-PCR) based testing kits ang inirekomendang gamitin para sa COVID-19 testing. Ayon sa Department Circular 2020-0143 " Public Advisory No. 20-COVID-19 Laboratory Testing", mayroong nang apat (4) na RT-PCR testing kits ang naaprubahan ng Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for commercial use.
Dahil sa potensyal na peligro sa pagpo-proseso ng mga samples para sa COVID-19 testing, ang testing gamit ang RT-PCR test kits ay isinasagawa lamang sa mga laboratoryong may mga prosesong "Quality-Assured " o "Certified" ng Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM).
Samantala, sa advisory na inilabas ng Food and Drug Administration (FDA) ngayong araw, sila ay nag- papaalala sa publiko na WALA PANG COVID-19 POINT-OF-CARE TEST KIT o rapid test kit na aprubado ng ahensya (FDA) sa ngayon. Ang mga point-of-care test kit o rapid test kit ay nagbibigay ng agaran na resulta sa ilang minuto lamang (tulad ng pregnancy test kits).

As of March 20, 2020 (4PM), the Department of Health reports 13 new cases which brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 230. The DOH also reports one additional death.
Bicol Region as of March 20, 2020 (5PM) has no confirmed case of COVID-19 and has seven (7) admitted Persons Under Investigation (PUIs), results awaiting from Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM).
All members of household must follow strict home quarantine procedures. Movements shall be limited to accessing basic necessities, and curfew shall be strictly followed.
To those with history of travel and exposure and are experiencing symptoms, visit the nearest health facility and get checked. To those with travel history and exposure but are NOT experiencing symptoms, isolate yourself from other members of household and strictly follow home quarantine procedures. Also coordinate with your respective Barangay Health Emergency and Response Teams (BHERTs).
Support the government in its aim to stop community transmission: listen and strictly follow advisories from the Department of Health.

As of 12NN today, the Department of Health reports 15 new cases (PH203-PH217) of COVID-19. The total number of cases in the country is now at 217. The DOH also reports one additional recovery.
As of 5PM today, March 19, 2020, Bicol Region has no confirmed case of the Coronavirus Disease 2019, and seven (7) Admitted Persons Under Investigation. Results awaiting from RITM.
Based of DILG RO V Sit Rep, as of March 19, 2020 (12NN), Bicol has 86,689 Persons Under Monitoring (PUMs).
The Public are strictly advised to follow preventive measures and enhanced community quarantine procedures. PUMs must follow strict isolation from other household members.
