As of March 17, 2020 (4PM), Philippines reports forty-five (45) new cases (PH143-PH187) of COVID-19 which brings the total number of confirmed cases in the country to one hundred eighty-seven (187). Bicol Region as of March 17, 2020 (5PM) has no confirmed cases of COVID-19 and has three (3) current Persons Under Investigation (PUI). DOH Bicol advises public to don’t panic and be vigilant, coordinate with the government for contact tracing, stay at home and avoid unnecessary loitering in the streets at any time of the day. Practice personal protective measures such as hand hygiene, proper cough etiquette, healthy lifestyle, social distancing, and use of mask when needed are also being advised. To those with history of travel and exposure and are experiencing symptoms, visit the nearest health facility and get checked. To those with travel history and exposure but are NOT experiencing symptoms, strictly follow home quarantine procedures and coordinate with your respective Barangay Health Emergency and Response Teams (BHERTs).
BICOL REGION IS STILL COVID19-FREE
Bicol Region as of March 16, 2020 (5PM) has no confirmed case of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 and has one (1) new Persons Under Investigation. All eighteen (18) discharged PUIs tested negative of COVID-19.
The public is strictly advised to follow preventive measures including hand hygiene, proper cough etiquette, healthy lifestyle, social distancing, and use mask when needed.
Those with history of travel and exposure and are experiencing symptoms must visit the nearest health facility and get checked. While those with history of travel and exposure to confirmed cases but are NOT experiencing symptoms must strictly follow home quarantine procedures.
