Bicol Region COVID-19 cases reach 512

The Department of Health Center for Health Development (DOH CHD) – Bicol records twenty-three (23) new confirmed cases of COVID-19. The total number of COVID-19 cases recorded in Bicol Region is now five hundred twelve (512). Active cases are two hundred sixty-one (261).
Of the 23 new cases, seven (7) are from Prieto Diaz, Sorsogon, six (6) from Naga City, four (4) from Camarines Sur (2 Camaligan, 1 Pasacao, 1 Libmanan), five (5) Albay (4 Legazpi City, 1 Daraga), and one (1) San Fernando, Masbate.

Bicol Region records 11 new cases of COVID-19

The Department of Health Center for Health Development (DOH CHD) – Bicol records eleven (11) new confirmed cases of COVID-19. The total number of COVID-19 cases recorded in Bicol Region is now four hundred eighty-nine (489). Active cases are two hundred sixty-eight (268).
Of the 11 new cases, five (5) are from Albay (4 Legazpi City, 1 Daraga), five (5) from Camarines Sur (3 Calabanga, 1 Goa, 1 Buhi), and one (1) from Matnog, Sorsogon.

DOH's Statement on the ‘Time Out’ requested by Medical Frontliners amid COVID-19
To our beloved colleagues and comrades-in-arms in the medical community:
The Department of Health is one with the medical societies and the government in its solidarity call for a united, strategic stand on the enormous battle against the COVID-19 pandemic. We thank the medical communities for the trust and confidence you have placed on us, and we will honor them to the utmost.
We have heard your call and we ARE one with you in battling the COVID-19 before it lays further waste to our people and our nation. The battle is not over, and it will not be for a long time yet. But this is where, with you, we are drawing a line in the sand—and stating strongly and without hesitation that from this point on, we will marshall all our efforts to turn the tide.

DOH Bicol confirms death of Bicol#282

The Department of Health Center for Health Development (DOH CHD) – Bicol confirms the 13th COVID-19 death in Bicol Region, and the 7th COVID-19 death in the province of Albay.
Bicol#282, a 58-year old Filipino female from Daraga, Albay who was reported positive last July 21, 2020, passed away at 2:45 AM today. She first experienced symptoms on July 15, 2020 and was admitted at Bicol Regional Training and Teaching Hospital (BRTTH) on July 19, 2020. Her cause of death is Fatal arrhythmia secondary to ACS NSTEMI in sinus tachycardia; FC IV acute respiratory distress, acute respiratory failure, secondary to CAP HR w/ hypoxia; COVID-19 confirmed critical pneumonia.
Strict burial/cremation protocol for infectious diseases will be followed for Bicol#282.
DOH CHD – Bicol would like to extend its condolences to the family and friends of Bicol#282.
Appeal to Public
The public is strongly advised to strictly follow community quarantine procedures as well as precautionary measures including proper hand washing, social distancing, cough etiquette, disinfection of commonly used objects, use of facemask, healthy lifestyle and to stay at home. Everyone’s cooperation is crucial in this time of crisis.

The Department of Health Center for Health Development (DOH CHD) – Bicol records nineteen (19) new confirmed cases of COVID-19. One (1) death has also been recorded. The total number of COVID-19 cases recorded in Bicol Region is now four hundred seventy-eight (478). Active cases are two hundred sixty-five (265).
Of the 19 new cases, twelve (12) are from Masbate (8 Placer, 2 Balud, 2 Uson), five (5) Albay (3 Daraga, 1 Legazpi City, 1 Tabaco City), and one (1) each for Naga City and Sorsogon (Matnog).
