DOH Bicol records 2 new cases, 2 recoveries

The Department of Health Center for Health Development (DOH CHD) – Bicol records two (2) new confirmed cases of COVID-19. The total number of COVID-19 cases recorded in Bicol Region is now two hundred eighty (280).
• Bicol#279 – a 57-year old Chinese male from Naga City. His history of exposure or travel is to be established. He first experienced symptoms on July 15, 2020 and consulted on July 18, 2020 at a private hospital in the city. He is now admitted at Bicol Medical Center (BMC).
• Bicol#280 – a 53-year old Filipino female from Matnog, Sorsogon. She arrived from Malabon on July 11, 2020. She is asymptomatic and is quarantined at an LGU quarantine facility. Bicol#280 is a caregiver.
Releasing of other details about the said patients is at the discretion of the Local Government Units (LGUs) concerned guided by the provisions of the Data Privacy Act.

As of July 19, 2020, confirmed cases of COVID-19 recorded in Bicol Region are two hundred seventy-eight (278). Active cases are one hundred fifty-one (151).
On test results received
A total of ninety (90) test results were received today. Forty-seven (47) are from Bicol Regional Diagnostic and Reference Laboratory (BRDRL) while forty-three (43) are from Bicol Medical Center (BMC).
Of the 90 test results, five (5) are positive, as reported earlier.

Breakdown of 85 negative results:
BMC - 8, BRGHGMC - 1, Camarines Norte - 11, Camarines Sur - 60, and CESU Naga - 5.
On probable and suspect cases
Bicol Region has two (2) suspects - one (1) from Albay, and one (1) in Catanduanes. The one (1) probable case in Bicol is from Albay.
