1 New Confirmed Case of COVID-19 recorded in Bicol

The Department of Health Center for Health Development - Bicol confirms today, April 2, 2020, another new case of COVID-19 bringing the total of COVID 19 cases in the region to eleven (11).
The 11th confirmed case of COVID-19 is a 49-year old female from Albay. She has a known exposure to a positive COVID-19 case and is currently admitted at the Bicol Regional Training and Teaching Hospital (BRTTH). Patient is in stable condition.
The LGU concerned will announce other information especially actions taken in relation to this new case as provided in the Data Privacy Law and Reporting of notifiable diseases.
Updates on Previously Recorded Cases
DOH CHD – Bicol reports that three (3) confirmed cases of COVID-19 has recovered, meaning they are no longer experiencing symptoms. Patient with Local ID number Bicol#2 (PH763), Bicol #3 (PH765), Bicol#7 (PH2145) have recovered as of April 2, 2020.
Appeal to Public
The public is strongly advised to strictly follow enhanced community quarantine procedures as well as precautionary measures including proper handwashing, social distancing, cough etiquette, disinfection of commonly used objects, healthy lifestyle and to stay at home. Everyone’s cooperation is crucial in this time of crisis.


JUST IN: Additional 3 Confirmed Cases of COVID-19 recorded in Bicol Region
Apart from the three (3) confirmed cases announced earlier, another three (3) COVID-19 positive has been recorded in Bicol Region, the Department of Health Center for Health Development - Bicol confirms. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in Bicol Region to ten (10), as of April 1, 2020 (5PM).
The eighth (8th) confirmed case of COVID-19 is a 65-year old Filipino male from Albay. He is a close contact of a COVID-19 positive. He consulted at Bicol Regional Training and Teaching Hospital (BRTTH).
The ninth (9th) confirmed case of COVID is also a close contact of a COVID-19 positive. He is a 40-year old Filipino male from Albay and also consulted at BRTTH after experiencing mild symptoms.
A 43-year old Filipino male from Albay is the tenth (10th) COVID-19 positive. He has a travel history from Manila and is admitted at BRTTH.
The Department of Health Center for Health Development – Bicol reiterates to the public to strictly follow enhanced community quarantine procedures. Stay at home and do not go out unless needed. Everyone’s cooperation is needed in this time of crisis.

Confirmed Cases in Bicol Region
Bicol Region as of April 1, 2020 (10AM) has seven (7) confirmed cases of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 - 4 in Albay, and 3 in Camarines Sur.
