Bicol Region reports one new COVID19 death

The Department of Health Center for Health Development (DOH CHD) – Bicol reports that patient with local ID code Bicol#216 died this morning. The total recorded COVID-19 deaths in Bicol is now eight (8).
Bicol#216 is a 60-year old Filipino female from Baao, Camarines Sur. She was admitted at Bicol Medical Center (BMC) on July 11, 2020, same day her result came out positive for SARS-CoV-2. She first experienced symptoms on July 1, 2020 and consulted in a private hospital on July 5, 2020. She is the 2nd reported death in the Province of Camarines Sur.
Strict burial/cremation protocol for infectious diseases will be followed for Bicol#216.
DOH CHD – Bicol would like to extend its condolences to the family and friends of Bicol#216.
Appeal to Public
The public is strongly advised to strictly follow community quarantine procedures as well as precautionary measures including proper hand washing, social distancing, cough etiquette, disinfection of commonly used objects, use of facemask, healthy lifestyle and to stay at home. Everyone’s cooperation is crucial in this time of crisis.

DOH Bicol records 1 new case of COVID-19

The Department of Health Center for Health Development (DOH CHD) – Bicol reports that of the 98 test results released today, one (1) is positive for COVID-19. The total number of COVID-19 cases recorded in Bicol Region is now two hundred twenty-eight (228). Active cases are one hundred twenty-eight (128).
The 228th case of COVID-19 in Bicol Region is a 65-year old Filipino male from Camalig, Albay. He arrived from Manila on July 9, 2020. He is asymptomatic and is quarantined at an LGU quarantine facility.
Releasing of other details about the said patient is at the discretion of the Local Government Unit (LGU) concerned guided by the provisions of the Data Privacy Act.
On results received
A total of ninety-eight (98) test results were received today. Ninety-two (92) are from Bicol Regional Diagnostic and Reference Laboratory (BRDRL), while six (6) are from Bicol Medical Center (BMC).
